Full application checklist

Apply online. A $70 application fee must be submitted before the application will be processed.

On the application, you will be asked to answer some general questions about your interest in the program.

Three letters of recommendation are required, preferably from O’Neill faculty members. Applicants will designate three faculty members on the online application by providing the recommenders' contact information. Letters will be submitted directly by the recommender.

O’Neill Honors students only need to request one letter of recommendation from an O’Neill faculty member.

As the online application will require the contact information for three recommendation letter writers, O'Neill Honors students will also need to designate the following individuals in the remaining two recommender fields on the online application:

  • Allison Schnable, Associate Professor; Director, Undergraduate Honors Program - schnable@iu.edu
  • Morgan Horstman, Associate Director, Admissions and Financial Aid - mopolski@iu.edu

Discuss what leading for the greater good means to you. Describe your passion, and how an O’Neill degree will help you to make your passion actionable.

You will submit an up-to-date resume, which should include your undergraduate engagement experience, work experience, and intended graduation year.

Need help with your resume? Reach out to the O'Neill Career Hub for assistance!

O’Neill’s admissions staff will look up your Indiana University transcripts on your behalf. If you have attended any other university, please submit unofficial copies of these transcripts.

All Accelerated applicants will have a panel interview with O'Neill staff members. You will be contacted to schedule an interview after your application has been received and processed.

Appointments are available at the O'Neill Career Hub to assist with interview preparation.

Financial Aid

Accelerated Master’s Program candidates will remain eligible for undergraduate funds until the completion of their bachelor’s degree. Graduate fellowships and other funding award opportunities may be available after graduating from the undergraduate program.

Recipients of the Dean's, Provost's, IU Global Engagement Scholarship, or Office of Enrollment Management Scholarship who complete their undergraduate degree(s) in fewer than eight semesters may apply the remaining semesters of their award toward graduate coursework at IU Bloomington through the Pathways Scholarship Program.
