Description of the video:
Being at O'Neill has offered a variety of international experiences that I am so lucky to have gotten to take part in. I had an internship in Portugal through the Global Leadership Program. was able to go to Vietnam with my capstone and then I had the unique opportunity to get to go to West Africa both to do a project internship and for a class that was led by an O'Neill professor. It was just so cool to be able to access that as a current student and point to that as an experience that I had while I was at O’Neill. Having access to international opportunities is a crucial part of the O'Neill experience. It kind of gives you a safety net to get to take these risks and go abroad to do projects or to have courses. One of the great things about O'Neill is that even if you aren't studying abroad, we still have the international experience here at O’Neill. I'm taking an international environmental policy course. You'll get to meet people from entirely different backgrounds and cultures who are bringing those experiences into the classroom. You get to be friends with them and make those connections internationally. Because of my international experiences, I've grown a lot more resilient. I had to quickly adapt to be able to immerse myself in the culture. I've had the opportunity to go to entirely different continents that I might not have ever visited if it weren't for being a part of O’Neill. If you're somebody who's interested in international development like I am, you'll be able to access those opportunities at O'Neill.
