Students and faculty from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs will share their expertise and research at the 121st American Political Science Association Annual Meeting & Exhibition, one of the premier gatherings for political science scholarship worldwide, Sept. 11-14 in Vancouver.
O’Neill School representatives will participate in sessions highlighting innovative research on political science. Presentations include:
- “Demographic Matching and Prosocial Rule-Breaking: Evidence from U.S. Principals” by doctoral student Kyuwoong Kyeong and Associate Professor Amanda Rutherford
- “AI Meets Equity: How Representation Affects Property Tax Appeals” by doctoral student Xiaochun Zhu
- “Regulating Nonprofits: Environmental Compliance and Enforcement in the 3rd Sector” by Lynton K. Caldwell Professor David Konisky, in collaboration with Manny Teodoro of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Samantha Zuhlke of the University of Iowa
Additionally, Associate Professor Sanghee Park from O’Neill’s Indianapolis campus will serve as program chair for the public administration section at this year’s conference, helping guide the scholarly conversations shaping the future of the discipline.
