MAAA-MAFE Dual Degree

Earn a dual degree combining Arts Administration with Folklore and Ethnomusicology

Combine the business and management skills of a Master of Arts in Arts Administration (MAAA) with a deep understanding of the way that diverse cultures inform the arts today from a Master of Arts in Folklore and Ethnomusicology (MAFE). You’ll earn two degrees in five semesters with this 60 credit hour program, drawing from both the O'Neill School and the College of Arts and Sciences.

To enroll in this dual degree, you should apply to both the MAAA and MAFE degree programs.

Students in this dual program who elect to complete the thesis/project may integrate their interests in Folklore and Ethnomusicology and in Arts Administration. Must be approved and supervised by a committee of three that can include one Arts Administration professor.

  • Three additional approved courses in the Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology (9 credits)
  • One additional course at the graduate level in Arts Administration (3 credits)
