SPEA Scholarships for Incoming Students

SPEA offers over 130 scholarship opportunities to its incoming students

College is an investment, but we feel strongly that it should also be affordable.

To that end, we offer a variety of scholarships to motivated, skilled incoming students.

To be eligible for most of these scholarships, you’ll need to submit a complete Admissions application by November 1 and complete the Selective Scholarship Application. Students are invited to complete SPEA's Selective Scholarship Application if they have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and a minimum SAT score of 1290 (Critical Reading and Math only) or ACT score of 27.

Direct Admission Scholarship

If you are offered direct admission into SPEA and you complete the Selective Scholarship Application, you will be considered for the Academic Admission Scholarship, below.

Academic Admission Scholarships: $16,000 Award

The SPEA Academic Admission Scholarship is a $4,000 award per academic year, disbursing as a $2,000 award for each fall and spring semester at IU Bloomington.

Recipients must remain in good standing, both academically and non-academically. Recipients must also enroll in and complete at least 9 credit hours of SPEA coursework in the fall and spring semesters.

If these requirements are met, the scholarship will be eligible for renewal for up to four total years of undergraduate study and a maximum award amount of $16,000.

This scholarship is awarded using the Selective Scholarship Application. Recipients will be notified in mid-March.
