Nine undergraduate students from the O’Neill School have been honored with Indiana University’s 2026 Senior Recognition Awards, honoring their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service to the IU community.
Two O’Neill students were honored with the Elvis J. Stahr Award, one of the university’s highest honors for graduating seniors. The award recognizes graduating seniors for their academic excellence, character, and leadership. Jacob Waugh, an environmental management major, and Nina Georgiades, a law and public policy major, received the distinction for their strong commitment to scholarship and service throughout their time at Indiana University. Georgiades also received the Clara Javan Goodbody Award to support her graduate study.
Toluwalope Semowo, a human resources management major, earned the P.J. and Hilda W. Hill Award for his demonstrated commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive campus, strong academic achievement, and significant campus involvement through student leadership and volunteer roles.
Five O’Neill students received the Kate Hevner Mueller Senior Award for demonstrating exceptional leadership both inside and outside the classroom while contributing meaningfully to campus and community life. This year’s Mueller Award recipients from O’Neill include Drew Yeager, BSPA’25, who studied environmental management; law and public policy majors Talayeh Marshall and Kate Krawczyk; nonprofit management and leadership major Jessyka Brown; and environmental and sustainability studies majors Marisa Grzesiak and Cooper Kleinmaier.
“O’Neill is proud to see these outstanding students recognized,” said R.J. Woodring, associate dean for student success and administration. “They have demonstrated not only academic distinction, but also a genuine dedication to leadership and public service. Their contributions to our community have been significant, and I have no doubt their future impact will be just as meaningful.”
The O’Neill School congratulates this year’s honorees, whose leadership and service have left a lasting mark on the IU community.
