Biography

Lewis Ricci is executive director of the Indiana Arts Commission, a position he has held since 2006. Previously, he was director of the International Jazz Collections at the Lionel Hampton Center at the University of Idaho, where he was also an adjunct faculty member.

Ricci was director of development for university programs at Penn State University, and served as executive director of the Columbus Area Arts Council for five years. During his tenure there, he initiated a major visual arts festival, established an arts education endowment, and developed a long-range community cultural plan.

 Ricci received a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University, and a master’s degree in arts administration from Indiana University.
