Jane Metcalfe retired in 2013 as senior advisor in the Office of International and Tribal Affairs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. An international environmental policy specialist, she held a variety of positions during her 28-year career with the EPA.
Metcalfe managed the EPA’s cooperative programs in Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, and Africa. She was involved in numerous projects ranging from sustainable management of electronic waste, to the development of programs for reducing carbon emissions, to water and sanitation programs in Africa. Prior to joining the EPA, Metcalfe worked for a consulting firm on water and wastewater issues.
Metcalfe received a bachelor’s degree in biology from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in environmental impact analysis from Indiana University.
