Edward "Ed" Jacobs joined Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. (MBS) in 2016 as a vice president.
His career in the capital markets and securities industries began in 1982 as a bond salesman at American National Bank of Chicago. He later worked in sales within the municipal bond division of Lehman Brothers. Further in his career, Jacobs was a managing director and regional sales manager for Banc One Capital Markets; he also oversaw the middle market funding desk bond sales at Morgan Keegan and M&I Bank Capital Markets. Prior to joining MBS, Jacobs was a principal at Piper Jaffray & Co. in their Fixed-Income Services Group where he focused on sales to financial institutions, investment advisors, and public entities.
Jacobs has been actively involved in industry and affinity groups including the Bond Market Association, Illinois Bankers Association, and the Illinois Association of School Business Officials. He is a former 10- year school board member in Deerfield, Illinois, and a current oversight committee member of High School District #113 (Deerfield-Highland Park). He is an active volunteer and board member of his local synagogue.
Jacobs received a bachelor’s degree in public finance and transportation from Indiana University, and an MBA in finance from Loyola University of Chicago.
