Biography

Nghia Tuan Ton is the national professional officer in environmental health for the World Health Organization Representative Office in Vietnam. He has experience in environmental management projects in international organizations, and in environmental health, water and sanitation, and climate change programs with WHO in Vietnam.

Ton has assisted in the development of numerous policies and strategies at the national level in Vietnam, including the National Action Plan for Environmental Health, National Target Program for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, and National Action Plan for Healthcare Waste Management.

Ton received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Hanoi Technology University, Vietnam and, as a Fulbright Scholar, a master of science degree in hazardous materials management from Indiana University.
