Biography

Chris Lowery is the senior vice president for workforce alignment with Ivy Tech Community College. He formerly was the vice president for Ivy Tech Corporate College and chancellor of Ivy Tech’s combined region of Columbus and Southeast Indiana, covering the towns of Batesville, Lawrenceburg, and Madison.

Previously, Lowery spent 19 years at Hillenbrand Inc. in many capacities, including director of public policy and engagement, chairman of the executive committee of Hillenbrand’s political action committee, and the chairman of the charitable contributions committee. He also held a number of positions at Hillenbrand’s Batesville Casket Company. In 2013, Lowery was appointed by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence to serve as chairman of one of the newly created Indiana Regional Works Councils for Southeastern Indiana.

Lowery received a bachelor’s degree in public administration/public and personal relations from Indiana University.
