Regina Galer serves as the director of the International Material Protection and Cooperation’s Office of Weapons of Material Protection. She began her career at the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation, where she started as a nonproliferation graduate program fellow with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Galer was later promoted to manage cooperative nuclear security and non-proliferation projects with partner countries for the Office of International Material Protection and Cooperation. She then served as director of the Department of Energy Office in the U.S. Embassy-Pakistan, until becoming director of the IMPC Office of Weapons Material Protection.
Galer received a bachelor’s degree and an MPA from Indiana University, and an MSES from Iowa State University.
