Ellen Annala recently retired after 37 years in the not-for-profit sector in Indianapolis. For 14 years she was president and CEO of the United Way of Central Indiana and served the organization for a total of 23 years. Annala was also the founding member of UPIC Solutions, which serves the United Way’s IT needs nationally, and she continues to serve on the UPIC board.
Before joining the United Way of Central Indiana, Annala served as executive director of Big Sisters of Greater Indianapolis and as associate director at the John H. Boner Community Center.
Annala received a bachelor’s degree from Phillips University and an MPA from Indiana University.
