R.J. Woodring began serving as director of SPEA’s Undergraduate Program Office in 2016. He teaches a senior level course on leadership. Prior to coming to SPEA, Woodring was the associate director of Budget Planning and Development for the Indiana University Bloomington campus and has also served IUB as the associate director of Student Life and Learning. Higher education is a second career for Woodring, who spent seven years in a leadership role in the private sector. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Kansas, his master’s in higher education and student affairs administration and his Doctor of Education from Indiana University.
