René Henry joined the SPEA undergraduate advising team in April 2016. Most recently, she held positions in the Indiana University Student Advocates Office, serving as their senior assistant director and a confidential victim advocate. Prior to this, she worked in community mental health and held various student affairs positions while earning graduate degrees in counseling at IU. Henry received her undergraduate degree in music education from Ball State and taught elementary music before coming to Bloomington in 2007. She plays clarinet with the Southern Indiana Wind Ensemble and regularly volunteers with community and professional organizations. When not working, Henry enjoys spending time outside, being silly, and all things Lego.
