Stuart Singer is a partner with Boies, Schiller & Flexner in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His practice focuses on complex business litigation in the state and federal courts throughout the United States and before arbitration panels. He has been listed in the 2006 and 2007 LawDragon lists of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America, as well as in Best Lawyers in America and Chambers U.S.A. Guide to Leading Lawyers for Business. Mr. Singer has represented many of the nation’s leading corporations including ADT Security Services, Fidelity National Financial, Fresh Del Monte Produce, NASCAR, and Office Depot.
Mr. Singer is lead counsel in the firm’s pro bono representation of a certified class of 1.9 million children seeking to enforce federal Medicaid rights in federal court in Florida, for which the Florida Medical Association recognized him with its Distinguished Layman Award. In addition, Mr. Singer has handled numerous appellate matters as well as cases before the Florida Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. In the current Supreme Court term, he is counsel of record for the American Medical Association and other national medical groups.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Singer has taught at the University of Miami Law School and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Florida Law School. He is also the co-author of a book on trade secret law. He is a national speaker on litigation and antitrust topics as well as a member of the American Law Institute, the governing board of the National Association for Urban Debate Leagues, and the South Florida Holocaust Documentation and Education Center.
Mr. Singer earned both an MA and a BS with highest distinction from Northwestern University and a JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
