David Wang retired in 2010 as senior operating partner of Atlas Holdings, a private equity investment firm that owns and operates various industrial companies. In 1991, Wang retired from the International Paper Co., where he served as executive vice president and was a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining International Paper he worked for Union Carbide Corporation in various capacities, including director of corporate development and vice president general manager. He is a member of the National Advisory Council of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at George Washington University.
Wang is a native of Beijing and emigrated to the United States with his family after WW II.
Wang received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from George Washington University and his Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
